The Minigame Hub (sometimes called the Minigam Hub) is the home of Picabocraft 2's minigames. It is the successor to the microsection of the same name in Original Picabocraft and can be accessed from an unmarked rainbow building in the Downtown District of New Picabocraft City.

The Hub was designed by DDDragoni, who wanted to make it as garish as possible. To this end, the Hub has glowstone floors and ceilings and emerald blocks for walls. A large number of horses and rabbits wander around.

A large sign in the back reads "Minigam." The original version read "MINIGAMES" in its entirety, but the hub was downsized following Picabocraft 2's first reset.

Minigames[]

The Minigame Hub currently houses two minigames, each accessed from a themed building within the main building. Unlike the minigames in Original Picabocraft, these minigames are fully automated and do not require the presence of a server Op.

Class Arena[]

Main article: Class Arena (Picabocraft 2)

The Class Arena is a deathmatch minigame where players can select a "class" in order to gain special abilities. It is based on the Class Arena that could be found in Original Picabocraft. The classes that the player can select give them varieties of equipment, weapons, potion effects, and other abilities.

The entrance is a diamond building, a reference to the spawn of the Classic Class Arena in Original Picabocraft.

Spleef[]

Speef is a competitive game where players must dig out the snow from under their opponents' feet with shovels in order to make them fall into lava. The players cannot otherwise hurt each other. When a player dies, they are sent to a glass box where they can observe the rest of the match, teleport back to the Minigame Hub, or start a new game.

When each game is started, a villager named Bolas is spawned in the arena. Originally, Bolas served as a necessary component to the programming of the game. This is no longer necessary, but Bolas remains as a mascot for the minigame.

Spleef also appeared in Original Picabocraft, but it had none of the automation that the Picabocraft 2 version uses.

Spleef is not an original game to Picabocraft 2, and was originally created by Greenslimy, Pentaclam and Maulrus in 2009. More info about the game as used in other Minecraft servers can be found on the Official Minecraft Wiki.

Creepy Clown Head[]

The Creepy Clown Head is the owner and operator of the Minigame Hub. He is a disembodied head that appears similar to The Joker of DC Comics, and is known for his suggestive comments towards the player.

Clown Head

The Creepy Clown Head in the entrance to the Minigame Hub

The player first encounters Creepy Clown Head in the rainbow building that serves as the entrance to the Minigame Hub. It appears at first that the Minigame Hub is a trap designed to lure in "kids of all shapes and sizes. Especially young girls." However, this is shown to be false, as the button the Clown Head tells you to press actually does bring you to a realm of fun games, bunnies, and ponies.

Creepy Clown Head is also responsible for explaining the rules of the games to the player. These also sometimes contain uncomfortable comments from the Clown. The player seems to have disdain for the Creepy Clown Head: the sign above the button to speak with him reads "Oh god. Press to talk to Creepy Clown Head," and the player demands an explanation rather than just speaking to him within the Minigame Hub.

Creepy Clown Head has knowledge of the mysterious entity that speaks to players during the Mystery sidequest line. After the player speaks to the Clown Head as part of the quest, he claims that his debt is paid. It is unknown what this refers to.

A similar clown head, named the Cool Clown Head, appears as the operator of the Personal Warps. Her head appears similar to Harley Quinn from DC Comics. She does not have any dialogue unless the player creates an invalid personal warp.

Other Features[]

The Minigame Hub features a secret staircase made of invisible barriers that allows the player to climb on top of the "Minigam" sign and the entrances to the Class Arena and Spleef.

The original version of the Minigame Hub featured a "personal storage" building that contained a large number of chests for the player to store their belongings in. This was not carried over to the rebuilt version of the Minigame Hub.
